LGBTBE Certified Supplier Roundtable: Deconstructing Certified Superstar
Come learn how fellow LGBTBEs have developed successful pitches that have gotten them real business with NGLCC Corporate Partners. Whether you have never formulated your "elevator pitch" or you regularly pitch your business to purchasers, come join this ?safe space? to learn best practices. This is a great opportunity to prepare for pitching at NGLCCNY?s Certified Superstar, NGLCCNY's Half-Day Mini Conference (such as the one coming up on April 20th at MetLife), or when seeking business with our hundreds of corporate partners sourcing diverse suppliers.
Join us as we deconstruct some pitches and work together to improve upon delivering what your business does, your value proposition, working the room while interacting with your audience, and tightening up your written materials.
We will hear two success stories from fellow LGBTBEs, Alan Rothenberg of Glue Advertising and Tony Meyer of TestTracks. In addition, two other LGBTBEs, Laurie Seliger of KeyLingo and Adam Scher of Operaion:CMYK, have graciously volunteered to each do a five minute pitch followed by a discussion of their pitches -- including the good, the bad, and best practices going forward -- led by a panel of other LGBTBEs who have successfully pitched to Corporate Partners. The discussion will be led by:
- Joanne Balady, Balady Promotions
- Jeremy Bellman, Socio
- Tony Meyer, TestTracks
*The April 20, 2016 Half-Day Mini Conference at MetLife will include a pitch competition. Attendance at this Roundtable may be beneficial if planning to apply to pitch your company at the Half-Day Mini Conference.
